John McKenna, Bridgestone Guide 2008
People love cooking with us. They love the air and light and space of the school. They love not feeling intimidated. They love the quality of the ingredients. They love working on top of the range equipment. They love the passion and skill of the DCS team. They love feeling inspired.
The school is just off Carysfort Avenue in Blackrock, a ten minute stroll from the DART station. It is a stunning premises. Marie-Claire Digby, writing in The Irish Times, says it has the "wow factor" looking "as much like a modern art gallery as a cookery school". She highlights the "high ceiling with exposed steel trusses, banks of roof lights, the cool white colour scheme, the gleaming work tops and the acres of prep space". There is nowhere to approach it in the city.
