As from July 2017 we have had to increase the cost of our courses due to new legislation that require us to pay 23% VAT on all our short courses (day, evening and one week). We have tried to keep this price increase to a minimum but any additional increase must be paid by the customer, most notably against any gift vouchers that are redeemed that may reflect old prices.
CANCELLATION POLICY FOR SHORT COURSES
CANCELLATION POLICY FOR CERTIFICATE COURSES
If a student wishes to cancel a place on the Three Month or One Month Certificate course, the school will make a full refund less 20% of the total course fee to cover administration costs, provided that cancellation in writing reaches Dublin Cookery School not less than 8 weeks prior to the start of the course. Should you wish to transfer to a course date in the future rather than cancel your booking outright, we will transfer your course deposit to that future date.
For cancellations within 8 weeks of the course start, the student remains liable for the deposit paid/full course fees. If the student leaves prior to completion of the course, no refund shall be given.
Withdrawal from any course due to illness, travel problems or any other reason, does not lead to any form of refund. Personal or travel insurance is recommended to cover you not being able to attend or complete a course (some payment card companies automatically provide you with travel insurance cover. Please check with your relevant insurance services provider(s) before placing an order with us). Places can be transferred to another person.
CANCELLATION POLICY FOR CORPORATE EVENTS
28 days cancellation notice must be given in order for a full refund to be given minus an admin fee of 10%. Cancellations made within 28 days will not be eligible for a refund. Event may be transferred to another date provided 14 days’ notice is given.
HYGIENE, HEALTH & SAFETY
In the interests of both hygiene and safety, you are advised to wear appropriate clothing, including low-heeled shoes with a non-slip sole.
Dublin Cookery School shall be under no liability whatsoever, for any loss, injury or damage to students or their property, whether in respect of any neglect, act or omission by the school, its agents or employees.
If a student is considered by Dublin Cookery School to be unsuitable for any reason, the student may be required to leave, either immediately or within a specified time. If the School considers that you have behaved in an unacceptable manner, the School will be entitled to exclude you from any course you are currently enrolled on or booked in the future. No refunds will be made in this instance for the course you are currently booked on to and no refunds will be made for any future courses you are booked on to unless we can resell those course places to another purchaser.
COOKERY SCHOOL: CANCELLATION OF COURSE DATES & FEES
Dublin Cookery School reserves the right to alter the timing or content of any course, to substitute any teacher, or to cancel a course at any time. The right is reserved to make alterations to all course fees and dates given in brochures or on the Internet. Notification will be given as soon as possible in the event of such changes. In circumstances in which a course is cancelled, the fee can be refunded or an alternative course chosen.
