TESTIMONIALS

What our clients say about us.

“This is the school I hear being talked about.”

People are generally drawn to Dublin Cookery School’s one week course by what they have heard from others: the word about town is that this is far and away the best set-up in the city.

The one week courses are always a great success.  The format of five consecutive days suits people very well, particularly those who have some time off work or who would find it difficult to be available for a series of evenings.  Some come for intense cooking, some for a holiday, others have a particular reason such as preparing for retirement.  Most have been promising themselves for ages that they would do a cooking course and at last are seizing the moment.

Participants on the one week courses are invariably happy with what they find at Dublin Cookery School and are delighted that their differing needs are so well met.  People love the informal atmosphere, the varied demands and change of pace, Lynda’s stories from some of the kitchens she has worked in and the professionalism of “a very honest enterprise”.

For those tentative about their cooking, their confidence soars in the space of the week:

“I was astonished at what I was producing by the end of the week”

"I might have been frightened off if I had seen the recipes in advance but it was so well taught, even I was flying

“I was tackling anything and everything here with all the support around”

“Amazing food, but I can do it”

“If stuff was burned, it just seemed to disappear and we started again – never any fuss, never  any pretension, I just loved the place”

For the real foodies, the course is a chance to push their boundaries and see how their self-taught ways stand up to the heat of a professional kitchen:

“Wonderful variety of techniques and recipes.  Seriously gratifying, much of it eye-opening”

“Love the way staff obviously get on so well and I loved the intensity of it.  It’s a hugely supportive atmosphere. I am a keen cook and I am always seeking interesting new recipes and new ways of doing things”

“The teachers here love what they do and they are very, very good at it”

“Had only expected a handful of useful recipes but I was bowled over with what I came away with”

Final comments from previous one week participants:

“I loved walking in to the bright, airy environment every day”

“We all got on so well and sat down together for a great lunch every day”

“This has been a fabulous week, and a huge learning curve”

“The perfect break”

“I loved it!  I’m signing up for the one month!”
