These are private homes that are situated a short distance from the cookery school. We have close relationships with several local friendly families, most within walking distance.
In the seaside town of Sandycove/Glasthule (adjacent to Dun Laoghaire), you’ll find Windsor Lodge. It’s located just 120m from Sandycove/Glashtule DART station (only 4 stops, 9 minutes to Blackrock and the cookery school) and is right beside the sea. This is a quiet area with many lovely coastal walks. There’s also a great choice of restaurants and cafes close by. Closer to Blackrock and a 15 minute walk to the cookery school there is Brookville Guest House.
The Lombard – Situated on the doorstep of Trinity College, The Lombard Townhouse offers 8 modern bedrooms which provide a comfortable, yet central base from which to explore the city. It’s also conveniently located a stone’s throw from Pearse St DART station, giving you a quick, short and easy access to Blackrock.
The Davenport, The Alexander and The Mont Clare (O’Callaghan Group hotels) – Located by Merrion Square in the city centre (a short stroll from the National Gallery, Trinity College and Pearse St DART station). All three hotels are situated side by side.
The Maldron (Cardiff Lane) – Situated beside the Bord Gais Energy Theatre and Grand Canal Dock and a 5 minute from Grand Canal Dock DART station – 5 short stops to Blackrock.
The Clayton Hotel – Located on the corner of Merrion Rd and Simmonscourt Road next to the RDS Arena and is within walking distance of Dublin city centre. It is one of the finest 4 star hotels in Dublin’s prestigious Dublin 4 postcode area and is just a 5 minute walk (400m) from Sandymount DART station (3 stops, 6 minutes to Blackrock).
The Royal Marine – Situated in Dún Laoghaire overlooking Dublin Bay. This is a much loved, family run and historic landmark hotel. Dun Laoghaire DART station is on the doorstep (3 stops, 6 minutes from Blackrock and the cookery school).
