One Day Cookery Classes

We offer over 20 different One Day cookery class titles throughout the year for you to choose from. These classes cover off a variety of different global cuisines including Italian, Middle Eastern, Thai, Indian and World Street Food.

    The BBQ is the most social way to share food with friends and is seldom used with imagination.  This course is brimming with ideas offering a wide range of interesting marinades for all sorts of fish and meat from the smallest prawn right through to a butterflied leg of lamb. We will bring you through all the techniques of preparing and cooking on your barbecue and then we will go outdoors where you will assist in the preparation of the food.     Due to popular demand, we have expanded this evening course title into a one day course. This is all about how to fool your friends with the simplest of recipes. No real cheating involved but there are great tips and shortcuts for reaching the level of fine dining without spending all day at the stove. We will show you how to prepare an elaborate meal with the minimum of effort so you can feel quite professional. As our Senior Tutors have worked in cutting edge up-and-coming restaurants, here and abroad, this one day course will be practical, fascinating and great fun. As with all our one day courses, a wonderful lunch and couple of glasses of wine complete the day.

    It is time to develop real confidence in cooking with fish. It is so easy to throw a fillet on a pan and rustle up a nutritious, delicious supper in minutes – as long as you know how to judge freshness, how to fillet a fish and the keys to enhancing flavour.
