No matter where you travel on this planet, food is the common link that binds us all. It enhances our daily experiences and it allows us to live happy and well. This course is about learning, collaborating, meeting new people, trying new things, exploring some of the wonderful flavours that great food has to offer, and most of all, having fun!

Dublin Cookery School is passionate about sharing cookery skills with young people that can help them navigate the next stages of their lives. Perhaps they want to feel confident preparing delicious meals for themselves and their family, or are looking for dishes that they can make their own and carry off to university and the world beyond. In any case, this week is all about getting the culinary low-down on how to take care of yourself in the kitchen while learning skills that may potentially lead to that first part-time job!

Cooking is the gateway to a thousand adventures and there isn't a better place to experience this than our kitchen!

As we introduce foundational cookery skills and techniques to our TY crew, we will also explore cookery techniques, dishes, and flavours that span the globe and leave with delicious new ideas and insights about the world beyond our borders. Lunch is provided each day.

Your course itinerary

09:45 AM – 10:00 AM

Welcome to Dublin Cookery School. There’s a lot on the agenda every day so everyone is encouraged to arrive 15 minutes prior to the course start-time in order for the whole group to jump into action together!

10:15 AM – 02:30 PM

We generally start our classes in our modern, mirror-lined Demo Kitchen before we head into Hands-On. The lead tutor will introduce our special plans for the day and then jump right into the delicious tasks at hand. Our TY classes usually comprise of 3-4 demo sessions which alternate with 3-4 hands-on sessions with plenty of tastings in between. Everyone will receive their own recipe packs for all the dishes we cover and accumulate quite the collection by the end of the week! You'll be well fed but don't forget to bring a container along to bring some of your hard work home.

02:30 PM – 03:00 PM

This is when we clean up and wrap up! On our last day of the week, the mood is quite festive and by this time, there will be many new friends made. Thank you so much for spending your week with us and we look forward to welcoming you back again very soon! We wish all our young chefs many happy cooking adventures to come!
